In a move that has left the metal community divided, As I Lay Dying has announced their return to the stage for a 2025 tour. Dubbed “An Evening with As I Lay Dying,” the tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of their landmark album Shadows Are Security—a record that once catapulted them to the forefront of metalcore.
But the big question looms: Who will be standing alongside frontman Tim Lambesis? After the entire lineup walked away last year in protest, citing personal and moral concerns, the future of the band became highly uncertain. Yet, here they are, ready to step back into the spotlight.
The tour kicks off in Moscow on Oct. 30, traveling through 13 cities across nearby regions. This comes shortly after the band signed a deal with FM Music Management, a move that further cemented their comeback. However, with past controversies still fresh in many fans’ minds, this tour is as much about the music as it is about navigating a turbulent history.
